Crystal Palace with Fourth Consecutive Away Win

Crystal Palace with Fourth Consecutive Away Win

A lethal counterattack helped Daniel Muñoz score his team’s second goal against Fulham on Matchday 26 of the Premier League. This secured a historic fourth consecutive away victory for Crystal Palace—a feat they had never achieved. With an own goal from Joachim Andersen and a stunning strike from Muñoz, Oliver Glasner’s team sealed a well-earned 2-0 win at Craven Cottage.

A Fast Start from Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace showed their intent right from the kickoff. Just two minutes in, a slick passing move set up Jean-Philippe Mateta. He fired a powerful shot that narrowly missed the target. The visitors kept pushing. In the 25th minute, Eberechi Eze unleashed a long-range strike, but Bernd Leno reacted well with a strong save.

Palace Takes the Lead

Fulham tried to respond but failed to create clear chances. Then, in the 36th minute, Palace’s pressure paid off. Will Hughes sent in a dangerous corner. In an attempt to clear, Joachim Andersen accidentally deflected the ball into his own net. Palace took a deserved lead.

Muñoz Doubles the Advantage

The second half followed a similar pattern. Palace stayed in control while Fulham relied heavily on Adama Traoré for creativity. However, the visitors defended well. Then, in the 65th minute, Mateta launched a counterattack from his half. He skillfully skipped past two defenders and played a perfect pass to Muñoz. The Colombian full-back took on Calvin Bassey, left him behind with a clever move, and fired an unstoppable shot past Leno. It was a spectacular goal, possibly one of the best of the matchday.
