The night of May 24 was unforgettable. The Krasnodar Stadium erupted in joy, and a new chapter in Russian football began.
Córdoba Strikes First
The opening 45 minutes were intense but goalless. However, the second half started with a bang. Just one minute in, Krasnodar created a brilliant attacking move. After Dynamo goalkeeper Andrei Lunyov blocked a well-placed shot, the ball rebounded perfectly for Jhon Córdoba, who calmly tapped it in.
As a result, the crowd exploded with excitement. His family cheered from the stands, celebrating a moment that would be etched in club history.

Jhon Córdoba’s impact went far beyond this final match. Over the course of the season, he recorded 12 goals and 7 assists in 25 matches, proving to be a key figure in the club’s title run.
Two More Goals Seal the Win
As the game progressed, Dynamo struggled to respond. Krasnodar, on the other hand, kept their momentum.
In the 81st minute, Nikita Krivtsov extended the lead after receiving a clever assist from Eduard Spertsyan. Then, deep into stoppage time, VAR awarded a penalty to Krasnodar. Spertsyan converted it confidently in the 90+10th minute, officially sealing the 3–0 victory.
Consequently, the result left no doubts—Krasnodar was the better team that night.
Krasnodar’s First League Title
TKrasnodar finished the season with 67 points. Zenit came close with 66. The title was won by just one point. Krasnodar had 20 wins, 7 draws, and only 3 losses. The margin was tight, but enough. Their consistency made the difference. In the end, they earned their first-ever league title.
Zenit’s six-year reign is over. A new chapter begins. Murad Musayev, the head coach, led his team with vision and courage.
